This study by the Africa Freedom of Information Centre gives a thorough analysis of Uganda’s compliance with the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms. It explores the promotion and protection of digital rights in proposed and implementation of existing internet-related policy in the country. It goes further to give recommendations to government, lawmakers, civil society and private sector players on how to better promote the principles. The study was produced as part of a project implemented under the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms Strategic Advocacy Fund aimed at assessing fundamental human rights and freedoms in relation to access to the internet in Uganda using the principles.
